Ease of use in a software program is critical for a drycleaner. In designing Compassmax, the primary focus was on providing screens that are simple and easy to follow, requiring little effort on an employee’s part.

There are three types of interfaces with the program:

Standard keyboard
The most popular method of operation.

Once a customer is entered, 99 percent of an employee’s keystrokes are on the numeric keypad, so all of the employee’s options are in a small area. Working on a small, familiar keypad allows a short learning curve and fast and efficient invoicing. The screens use simple pull-down menus that are easy to read and understand.

Standard mouse
(point and click)

This option is also user friendly. It provides a familiar method of navigation through the software. Some customers may choose to use the numeric keypad method for counter operation and utilize the mouse-driven method for back-office applications.

Touch screen

First popularized in the restaurant industry, touch screen provides you with the ability to select functions by touching a selection on the screen versus the standard keyboard or mouse entry.

We put all three options in so you can do it your own way, and have the most flexible and easy-to-use software for your needs. In our sixteen years in the drycleaning industry, we have never had a person we couldn’t train. And we promise you, once your employees have started using it, they’ll wonder how they ever got along without Compassmax!
