  • Progress uses client/server and thin client architecture to speed information across the network. Because it is designed for large databases with multiple stations it can’t be out grown so your investment is protected.

  • Ease of use in a software program is essential for a drycleaner. In designing Compassmax, the primary focus was on providing screens that are simple and easy to follow requiring little effort on an employee’s part. That is one reason many of the largest drycleaners choose Compassmax, not just for the advanced features but also a new CSR can learn the basics in as little as 10 minutes.

  • There are three types of interfaces with the program.

  • Standard keyboard (the most popular method of operation)
    • Once a customer is entered, 99 percent of an employee’s keystrokes are on the numeric keypad, so all the employee’s options are in a small area. Working on a small, familiar keypad allows a short learning curve and fast and efficient invoicing. The screens use simple menus that are easy to read and understand. This is an ergonomic and cost effective solution as an employee’s hand rests comfortably on the keypad versus holding their arm in the air for long periods of time with a touch screen, which is a much more expensive monitor.
  • Mouse (Point and click)
    • This option is also user friendly. It provides a familiar method of navigation through out the software. Some customers may choose to use the numeric keypad for counter operations and utilize the mouse-driven method for back office operations. With Compassmax you can even use a combination of the two if you prefer.
  • Touch Screen
    • First popularized in the restaurant industry, touch screen provides you with the ability to select functions by touching a selection on the screen versus using a standard keyboard or mouse.
    • We put all three options in so you can do it your way, and have the most flexible and easy-to–use software for your needs. In 25 plus years we never had a person we couldn’t train. We promise to you, once your employee starts using it, they’ll wonder how they ever got along without Compassmax.
